Six of us made our way out to Inchkeith on Sunday the 29th of April. The forecast was for light E/NE winds and sunny skies! We enjoyed a little bounce in the water on the way out. The deep channel 3/4 of the way over created a noticeable tug on the boats and an increase in the wave height as the spring tide was in full flow.
Our plans of a beach lunch were scuppered by lots of seals sunbathing in our spot. Rather than disturb them we pulled up on a rocky beach instead. Some of them came to say hello before we left.
We aimed for Prestonpans to counteract the pull of the tide and slowly made our way back to Portobello, enjoying the sun on the way!
